    Default Shuttle to/from Helen GA

Anyone know of a shuttle to/from Helen GA from Unicoi Gap or somewhere near there? Or would I be better off trying to hitch?

Unicoi Gap down to Helen is a pretty easy hitch. I've taken hikers down to Helen and there is always lots of traffic on the weekends. Weekdays may be harder. I am probably leaving a car there this weekend and another one at Dicks Creek Gap so a couple of my family members can finish their last remaining GA section.

I'm gonna be up there this weekend. When do you need a ride?

But it's really easy to hitch. Lots of older folks. Lots of people living in a hiking community. Just look friendly and you'd be good.

Super easy spot to hitch, if you are driving down from Unicoi you pretty much have to go thru Helen from what I remember

Thanks, everyone. I'm ok hitching but my hiking buddy is nervous about it. We're starting at Springer over the weekend and so we probably won't get that far until sometime during the week. It looks like an interesting place to stop and check out.

Helen IMO is def a must see and eatery. I try and get my hitches via pickup truck. Its a comfortable barrier between hitcher and provider

If you need a shuttle in GA, I would call Joyce and Sally, (706) 896-9339.
